Get Involved

Joining the Young Liberals of Canada creates amazing opportunities to make a real difference. The YLC have a guaranteed one-third of delegate spots at any national convention, ensuring that our voice, our concerns, and our policies are heard by the party at large.

The Young Liberals of Canada also provides many social and personal opportunities for its members to meet Ministers and MPs, take part in community-improvement projects, participate in youth model parliaments and debates, attend international conferences abroad, and much, much more!

The first technical step to becoming a member of the YLC is to join the Liberal Party of Canada. Anybody between the ages of 14 and 26 can do this by requesting a form from the Liberal Party Web site at https://www.liberal.ca/membership_e.aspx.

In addition, you'll certainly want to get connected with other Young Liberals in your area to find out about their social events, fundraisers, policy debates, weekend retreats, and trips to Ottawa.

To become involved with these local organizations, you should:

  • Refer to your campus or provincial organization’s Web site for a list of their activities.
  • Contact your local Provincial Young Liberal Association President.

Should you have any other questions at all, please feel free to contact Keith Torrie, ylc-jlc@liberal.ca, National Director of the YLC.
