'Positive Politics' Video Challenge

2009-05-15

Unable to provide leadership himself, Stephen Harper has released a series of new ads full of personal attacks on Michael Ignatieff. But the Prime Minister is in for a surprise. Canada's youth know it more than anyone else: negative, personal attacks in politics are just meant to distract from the real story - and Canadians will not be taken in by cheap games.

Now more than ever, we need leadership focused on real action for these tough times and for Canada's next generation. We need positive politics, focused on positive solutions. We need Michael Ignatieff.

The Challenge Finale:

The Young Liberals of Canada would like to thank all who participated in the YLC-JLC Positive Video Challenge. Thank you to those who supported positive politics, submitted videos, posted them on facebook and twitter, and shared them with family and friends. Together we have demonstrated young Canadians are hungry for a new kind of politics, positive politics. Politics that inspires and builds us up, not discourages and tares down. Thank you for being a part of it.

We are proud to announce the three finalists in our contest.

  • “Positive Politics”
  • “Bold Vision”
  • “Join the Party”

Please go to http://www.liberal.ca/en/get-involved/video-contest and vote for your favourite and encourage family and friends to do the same.

On behalf of the YLC, President Sam Lavoie, thank you to the Hon. Marline Jennings, M.P. as well as Liberal Party of Canada National Director, Rocco Rossi for being a part of the panel that narrowed the entries to three finalists.

Please vote, share, and keep believing in positive politics.

Voting will end on Thursday, June 4 at 5PM ET. The winner of the voting and hit total will be announced Friday, June 5. Good Luck to the final videos!
