Canada 150: Our voices, our future

2010-03-25

As you know, Michael Ignatieff is hosting a major policy conference in Montreal this weekend: "Canada at 150." It's a once-in-a-generation process to envision the Canada we dream of - and it stretches far beyond Montreal's city limits.

YLC President Samuel Lavoie and YLC VP Policy Pierre-Luc Lacoste have been working hard to involve young Canadians at the conference and across the country - and we hope you join in at one of the over fifty Can150 events being hosted from coast to coast.

Through real-time webcasts and engaging in-person discussions with a variety of high-profile guests, young Canadians everywhere will be contributing to this important national dialogue.

There's also an innovative tool to you can use after this weekend to put your ideas into action: "En Famille" - an online engine for Liberal policy debate and dialogue. With your free account, you can immediately get to work on the development of policy - and submit ideas for collaboration with other members.

Finally, the YLC needs your ideas for the design of the Liberal Party of Canada's policy process in the lead-up to the June 2011 National Biennial Convention in Ottawa. We are at a pivotal moment in the renewal of our policies, our party, and our country - so we need input from every single Young Liberal member on everything from the resolutions process, to workshops and voting proposals.

Working together, we can build the Canada we dream of - for 2017 and beyond.

Thanks for all you do,

Braeden Caley
