To my fellow Young Liberals and visitors to the new YLC Website, Welcome.

It is more important than ever for youth to be engaged in the issues and
challenges that face our country, and with our new website we seek to do
just that. We will use social networking including, Twitter, Facebook and
Youtube to connect young Canadians with each other on common issues and
provide information about how to get more involved in our party.

In Michael Ignatieff, we have a leader who listens to young people, and who
understands their dreams and passions. This website will be a significant
tool in our push to make him our next Prime Minister.

I encourage you to share this site with your friends and peers.

I recently became a member of the Young Liberals of Canada (YLC) but until yesterday, I never really thought about the many great opportunities I would have during these two days. To me, becoming a Young Liberal meant doing a lot of behind the scenes work, but I was both surprised and excited that I was able to get out there and meet people who have, and will, make an impact on our beautiful country.

The legendary YLC Western Caucus - "Camp Wanna Be Free"

Western Caucus (also known as Camp Wannabefree, or Camp Finallyfree when we are in government) has been held every summer since 1988. It is a gathering of Young Liberals from across the Western provinces, from Manitoba to BC. Held at a camp-ground type venue in a different province each year, it features speakers, workshops on policy and organisation, and Liberal hospitality.
